Brenda Kay Skelton

Brenda Kay Skelton, 72, of Normal, passed away March 7, 2024 at home surrounded by her family.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and burial will be at a later date in Irish Grove Cemetery.

Brenda was born March 12, 1951 in Springfield, IL., the daughter of Ed Williams and Esther (Morrison). She married James Skelton on March 21, 1967. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2000.
Brenda retired from Carroll Auto and Tire after many years of service. She was a hard worker, but she loved to have fun too. She was a very loving mom, grandma, and great grandma. She always saw the good in people and everyone loved being around her. She enjoyed cooking, camping, and fishing and she was an animal lover.
Survivors include her children: Dawn Skelton, Dana Shewmaker (Clint), James Skelton, and Jason Skelton (Christy); grandchildren: Heather, Karly, Courtney, Sierra, Braxten, Caleb, CJ, Chelsey, Jason Jr., Cassie, Christy, and Dustin; several great grandchildren; and sister Lou Bottoms.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Betty Williams and Esther and “Bussy” Morrison, her husband, and her siblings James, Larry, and Cindy.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
