Daniel Lee Mileham, 73, of Lincoln, passed away November 3, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. A memorial visitation will be held from 11 AM until 1 PM Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, November 12, 2024, in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln.
Daniel was born July 7, 1951, in Lincoln, IL., the son of Walter and Elsie (Charron) Mileham. He married Glenda “Sue” Mileham on November 15, 1969. She preceded him in death on May 22, 2007. Daniel retired from the State of Illinois in 2008 after working more than 25 years at the Willard Ice Building. He enjoyed racing, hunting, fishing, and being with his family. Daniel was a skilled mechanic and was proud of his antique cars, a 1940 Ford Coupe and a 1957 Chevy Convertible. He loved squirrels and he cared for many of them, often letting them into the house.
Survivors include his sons Eric Mileham and Brian Mileham; granddaughter Cortnee Worthington (Dakota), great grandchildren: Braylee, Blaine, Brockton, Brenton, and Brooks; sister Helen Simons, and brothers Dale Mileham and John Mileham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers Ronald, David, and Larry, and sister Rita.
Memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
