Eugene Thomas “Tom” Miller

Eugene Thomas “Tom” Miller, 81, of Sullivan, formerly of Logan County, passed away October 15, 2024 at the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held Nov 15 with burial in Richmond Grove Cemetery, New Holland, Illinois.

Tom was born April 12, 1943, in Ottawa, Illinois, the son of Elmer and Esther (Saul) Miller. He grew up in New Holland, Illinois where he farmed, and raised show cattle and hogs. He had immense knowledge and a keen eye for choosing a livestock winner. You often found him along ringside at a cattle show at the county fairs where he made many life-long friends. He never missed an opportunity to go fishing and passed this love onto his children. Wherever Tom went his beloved canine companion Noelle went and she was one of the smartest heelers around. Tom spent a great part of his life in TX., where he continued his work in the cattle industry helping youth with 4H projects.

Survivors include his children: Kelly Tucker (Scott), Kathy Garriott (Charlie), Kris Miller (Kim), Justin Miller (Jenna), and Jodi Riggan (Zach); grandchildren: Cody Tucker, Katie Lemenager, Ty Tucker, Cole Garriott, Wyatt Garriott, Trey Garriott, Kaylee Miller, Kinley Miller, Dakota Miller, Kali Jo Riggan, and Rylynn Riggan; 11 great grandchildren; and brother Chuck Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Eldon Miller, and brother Elmer “Lynn” Miller.
