John D Hibbard

John D Hibbard, 67, of Hartsburg, passed away May 19, 2024, at his home.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.

John was born April 27, 1957, in Albuquerque, NM., the son of John D. Hibbard Sr. and Pearl Ruth (Callaghan) Garrett. He married Theresa Nichols in 2004. She preceded him in death in 2017.

John proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was an avid Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan and liked to watch the races every Sunday. He enjoyed mowing and loved being with his grandkids. You could often find him enjoying a Marlboro Red 100 and a cold Natural Ice.

Survivors include his son Tyler Hibbard; grandchildren Tyler and Laelahni; brothers Kris Hibbard and Kenny Hibbard; nephews: Rick (Dawn) Heath and children, Robert Hibbard Jr., and Kristian (Jessica) Hibbard and children; Nieces: Kimberly Hibbard and children, Jenni (Jeremy) Smith and children, Brittany Bottles and children, Cheranda Rogers and children, Chelsea Hibbard (Cody) and child, Mylisha Hibbard (Braxton) and child, Doris Ann Hibbard (Michael) and children, April Hibbard and child, and Kaitlyn Hibbard and children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers Gary Hibbard and Robert Hibbard, and sister Doris.
