Juanita D. Frostell, 99, of Lincoln, passed away November 24, 2024, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village in Springfield, IL.
Visitation will be from 11 AM until 1 PM Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home with funeral services following at 1 PM with Father Joe Dondanville Officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL., at 1 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2024.
Juanita was born April 6, 1925, in Chicago, IL., the daughter of William D. Peterson and Charlotta (Richert). She married WWII Veteran Robert G. Schneidewend in 1937. He preceded her in death. She later married WWII Veteran Richard Frostell. He preceded her in death.
Juanita was a welder and bicycle inspector for Schwinn in Chicago and during WWII she was a real Rosie the Riveter when the Schwinn company stopped making bikes and she was a welder and inspector for the bomb racks for the War. She was a Regent for the “Daughters of Isabella” in Michigan. Member of Red Hats Club, American Legion, VFW and Oasis Senior Center.
She enjoyed playing bingo, yahtzee, crafts, going to the casino and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children: Robert (Dawna) Schneidewend, Patricia (Roy) Sebastian, and Harold (Colleen) Schneidewend; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren and step son Mike Frostell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, son Joseph, sister Shirley, and daughter in law Denise.
