Lela Mae Rust

Lela Mae Rust, 92, of Lincoln, passed away August 12, 2024, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at a later date. Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Lela was born November 10, 1931, in Kearney, Nebraska, the daughter of Richard Webb and Sadie (McKinney) Webb. She married Fred Rust in 1952. He preceded her in death in November of 1989.
Lela graduated from Kearney High School in 1949. She was a bookkeeper by trade. She was an avid golfer and a member of the Lincoln Elks 914 Ladies Golf Association and the Emblem Club. She was also a member of the Lincoln College Auxiliary and Lincoln Woman’s Club.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Allen R. Webb, David Webb, Kathy Roberts, and Marjorie Periera-Webb as well as several great nieces and nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred, and brother Lonnie L. Webb.

Memorial donations may be made to the Lincoln Elks 914 Emblem Club and will be accepted at the funeral home.
