Leroy Hermann Sommer

Leroy Hermann Sommer, 77, formerly of Lincoln, passed away January 8, 2021 at the VA Freedom House, Danville, IL.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Leroy was born April 27, 1943 in Lincoln, IL., the son of Theodore and Isabelle (Mosier) Sommer. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during Viet Nam. Leroy graduated from Beason High School. He was an excellent mechanic. He enjoyed participating in the tractor pulls at the Logan County Fair. He was a member of the Lincoln VFW and the American Legion Post 263.

He is survived by his sister Naomi Jean (Charles) Boyd.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard Leo Sommer.
