Linda was born November 5, 1959, in Lincoln, IL., the daughter of Loren Helton and Patricia (Robertson). She was a cook for District 27 for more than 20 years. She loved the Chicago Bears, fishing, camping, tubing down the creek, and playing bingo, and she knew how to party. She devoted her whole life to caring and providing for her kids and grandkids. Her wish was always that her kids and grandkids find peace within themselves and with each other. Linda always made time and room for those that needed help, but she wasn’t afraid to tell you when you were messing up either.
Survivors include her daughters Sunny Coulter (Josh) and Wendy Helton; grandchildren: Amanda, Tyler, Terry, Christopher, Dakota, Stormy, Destiny, and Donathan; 15 great grandchildren; brother Loren “L.T” Helton, and sisters Annie Helton, Kim Hall, and Patricia (Donny) Fulmer; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Heather Helton, and sister Rhonda Helton.
Memorial donations may be made to Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home to help with expenses.
