Lisa Leann Lee, 61, of Lincoln, passed away July 16, 2024 at Lincoln Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Cremation rites will then be accorded.
Lisa was born August 16, 1962, in Lincoln, IL., the daughter of Glen Robert “Bob” Dale and Darleen (Swan) Dale. She got a second chance at life in March of 2012 when she received a heart transplant. Lisa and her family are extremely grateful to her donor and their family for giving her the past 12 years. Lisa was baptized at and was a long-time member of Emden Christian Church.
Lisa married Rick Lee on October 13, 1989 and they shared a wonderful life and family. Lisa formerly worked at Gold Star Home Improvements, Cracker Barrel, and Logan Lanes. She was good at everything. She loved music and loved to dance and was a talented singer and the queen of karaoke. She loved to decorate and plan parties. Her home had a hairdresser chair where lots of makeovers and heart to hearts took place. Lisa collected Barbies and had an entire Barbie room. She loved shoes and purses, perfume and jewelry. She loved to ride the motorcycle with Rick. Lisa’s heart and her home were open to anyone that needed love and acceptance. She was everyone’s protector and always made sure everyone was taken care of. Everyone saw Lisa as another mom, aunt, or grandma and knew that she was a safe place to turn when times got tough. Her kids and grandkids were the absolute light of her life.
Survivors include her husband Rick Lee; children: Rick Lee, John Lee, Elizabeth Pardo, Diana (Alex)
De Los Santos, and Jay (Rachel) Dale; grandchildren: Blaine, Heaven Urijah, Hailee, Logan, Cali, Korinn, Laikynn, Kailynn, Liam, Emma, and Ayla; siblings: Glenda (Gary) Skelton, Stacy Dale (Bill), and Kyle Wright; her canine companion Baby; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. To know Lisa was to love her. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by all of the lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Bobbi Jo Bray.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
