Ronald Wray Alsup, 76, of Lincoln, passed away November 12, 2024 at his home.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.
Ronald was born October 31, 1948, in Lincoln, IL., the son of Leonard and Leona (Jones) Alsup. He was a car enthusiast and a skilled mechanic. He worked on John Deere Tractors and combines, cars, and anything else with a motor. His shop was his happy place. He loved his children and grandchildren fiercely with a no-nonsense attitude and a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
Survivors include his children: Seth Nicholas Alsup, Megan Bigelow (Doug), and Sue Ellen Alsup (Ben); grandchildren Lillian Stambaugh (Josh) and Oliver Paul Wray Neaville; great grandchildren Jameson Stambaugh and Gracelynn Bullock; and siblings Roger Alsup (Susie) and Larry Alsup. Several nieces and a nephew also survive. Also survived by a special friend who made the best coleslaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
