Angel I. Monroe

Angel I. Monroe, 60, of Lincoln, passed away September 17, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry& Bennett Funeral Home.

Angel was born July 10, 1965, in Lincoln, IL., the daughter of William and Martha (Gregory) Monroe. She was a spunky soul known to say she was “fat and sassy” when asked how she was. She loved spending time with family and friends, cooking large meals to feed whoever she felt needed it.

She leaves behind her two children Tabitha (Chrissy) Gordon and Louie (Julie) Wise, her grandchildren Lily, Makinly, Payton, and due soon Logan; sisters Dawn Petty, Beth (Stuart) Leopold, Charlisa Segner and many others; two best friends Kathy Yates and Penny Tripplett. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother William Monroe Jr., sisters Carlene McCain, Rose Bond, and Cindy Bond and her granddaughter Delaila Monroe.
She is going to be greatly missed by so many.
