Elizabeth Cox Downen

Elizabeth Cox Downen, 75, of Leesburg FL., formerly of Clinton, passed away December 5, 2023 at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be from 10 AM until 11 AM Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 and burial will follow those services in Old Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Elizabeth was born May 13, 1948, in Belflower, IL., the daughter of Joseph Harrison Reed and Martha Emma (Mott) Reed. She married Lavern Downen on September 4, 2021. She retired from Saint Gobain in 2005 after 30 years of service.
Survivors include her husband Lavern Downen, children Craig Maxey and Cathy Leonard, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and siblings: Bob Reed, Linda Short, and Donald Reed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Connie Ann Wilson, son Melvin Maxey, and siblings Chuck Reed, Edward Reed, Ted Reed, Lois DeJaynes and James Reed.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
