James D. Remlinger

James D. Remlinger, 74, passed away December 31, 2020 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. There will be no services at this time.

James was born October 20, 1946 in Paris, IL., the son of Robert and Mildred (Clouse) Remlinger. He married Linda Tibbs on July 12, 1985. He was employed at Rowe Foundry in Martinsville, IL. for many years. James enjoyed hunting, fishing, old westerns (especially John Wayne), he loved to tell old stories, he had a big heart and never knew a stranger. He was always there to lend a helping hand. He especially loved spending time with his family and loved his grandchildren so much.

Survivors include his wife Linda Remlinger; children: Todd (Doris) Tibbs, Bobbie (Sterling) Banet, Sherri Alier, Janet Gross, and Karla Martino; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Ruth Sutherland, Mary Remlinger, Donna Remlinger, Carl Remlinger, Richard Remlinger, Patty Roe, Ann Daniels, and Martha McGregor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, and 1 brother.
