Sharon Kay “Sherri” Mester

Sharon Kay “Sherri” Mester, 72, of Emden, passed away April 1, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Friday, April 5, 2024, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Emden. Funeral services will be at 10 AM Saturday, April 6, 2024, also at the church. Burial will follow in Union Station Cemetery. Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care.

Sherri was born June 6, 1951, in Charleston, WV., the daughter of Fred and Mabel (Higgins) Brunty. She married Kendall “Kerry” Mester on September 26, 1999. Sherri was a CNA since the age of 18 and worked in home health care for many years. Her main goal in life was to help others. She enjoyed crafts, quilting, creative circle group, and close to my heart rubber stamping. She was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband Kerry Mester, children: John Donaldson, Lisa Donaldson, StellaKay Osborn, Pamela Leftridge (Reggie), Phillip Mester (Emily), and Dave Mester; grandchildren: Sadie, Jaclyn, Alex, Claire, Trent, Cooper, Madison, and David; siblings: Ralph Brunty (Dottie), Geneva Lovell (Frank), and Lisa Brunty; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ernie Brunty, sister Lillian Overby, brother Tommy Dale, infant twin siblings Fred and Mabel, and son in law Chad Osborn.
Memorial donations may be made to the family.
