Terry Wayne Treakle, 72, of Lincoln, passed away December 13, 2025, at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.
Terry was born November 15, 1953, in Lincoln, IL., the son of William E. Treakle Sr. and Joyce P. (Dugan) Sanders. He retired from the bottle factory in 2008 after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed music, especially the Beatles and played the bass guitar. Terry enjoyed technology and computers.
Survivors include his mother Joyce (George) Sanders; his son Eric Treakle; grandchildren Izaiah, Xzander, and Elijah; brother William E. Treakle Jr. (Samantha) and sister Rhonda S. Gillum (Glen). Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father, son Gilchrist, son Donnie, daughter Lacy, brother Bruce Treakle, and sister Diane Lynn Treakle.
Memorial donations may be made to the family in care of Eric Treakle and will be accepted at the funeral home.
