Thomas Henry Sanders

Metamora, IL – Thomas Henry Sanders, age 67, passed away in his home with his loving wife by his side on June 3rd, 2025.

Tom was born November 30th, 1957 in Fort Madison, Iowa to Henry “Hank” Sanders and Louise “Sara” (Kramer) Sanders. He married the love of his life, Patricia “Patti” Bush on May 25th, 1995.

Tom built a career in the Cable construction industry, most notably working for Perley Cable Construction, Inc. in Metamora, IL. Tom was a competitive pool player, and loved spending time with his family and friends whom he would do absolutely anything for at a moments notice.

He is survived by his wife, Patti and his precious fur babies, Squishy and Missy; daughter Janell (Tim) Woolard; grandchildren Dustin (Megan) Woolard and Allison Woolard; siblings Steve (Laura) Sanders, Barbara Perley, Charles (Millicent) Sanders; dozens of cousins; and many nieces and nephews who he loved like his own.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers John and Bill.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later time.
