Mary “Sue” Parks

Mary “Sue” Parks, 79, of Lincoln, passed away August 8, 2023.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Friday, August 18, 2023, at 1:00 PM in New Union Cemetery.

Sue was born September 17, 1943, in Kimberly, WV., the daughter of Percy and Mary (Dunbar) McSpadden. She married Leo H. Parks. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2020. She was a dedicated mother, wife, and nanny and spent her life putting others needs before her own. She was an homemaker and volunteered at Lincoln Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Oasis Senior Center and enjoyed crafting.

Survivors include two daughters Kimberly Sue Parks Hum (Scott) and Shelley Kaye Craycraft (Russell); grandchildren Skylir Kenning and Dustin Robertson; brother Jerry McSpadden and sister Bette Anne McSpadden; and nieces and nephews Karl P. Hauffe, Daniel Hauffe, Rebecca J. Hauffe O’Connell, Michelle McSpadden, and Stephanie McSpadden.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Leo.

Memorial donations may be made to the Oasis Senior Center and will be accepted at the funeral home.
