Roger Allen Dennison Sr. “Curly”, 84, of Elkhart, passed away November 7, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Private family services will be held.

Curly was born July 19, 1937 in Buffalo Hart, IL., the son of Russell and Letha (Bozarth) Dennison. He married Mary Joan “Jody” (Stayton) on May 12, 1956.

He was employed at Brad Ragan/Goodyear in Springfield for many years. Post retirement he was Road Commissioner for Hurlbut Township in Elkhart. He collected model racecars, farm tractors, and implements. He enjoyed watching westerns and farm shows and was an avid Dodgers and Packers fan.

Survivors include his wife Jody Dennison; children: Sheree Mosier (Chuck), Lynn Hemstock (Steve), Roger Dennison Jr. (Lori), and Terrie Dennison; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and sisters Elizabeth Jackson and Jill Gardner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and 1 grandchild.
