Deborah Lynn Lichtenwalter

Deborah Lynn Lichtenwalter, 68, of Lincoln, passed away July 22, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until 11 AM Monday, July 28, 2025, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lincoln.

Deborah was born July 25, 1956, in Beason, IL., the daughter of Carl Winter and Virginia (Clark) Winter. She married Larry Lichtenwalter June 29, 1974. He preceded her in death on March 28, 2019. Deborah retired from the State of Illinois after working for the Illinois Comptroller’s Office in Springfield for more than 30 years. She enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, and she was a wonderful cook.

Survivors include her children: Todd Lichtenwalter, Phillip Lichtenwalter, and Laura (Michael) Groh; grandchildren: Michael Groh Matthew Groh, Mason ( Brianna) Groh, Alisa (Demitri) Harris, Ryan Lichtenwalter, Aubrey Lichtenwalter, Elliott Lichtenwalter, and Claire Lichtenwalter; great grandchildren: Naomi, Simon, and Abraham.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry, sister Cheryl Winter, and brother Alan Winter.

Memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
